It was in fact a perfect set up of Viral Marketing. Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) launched a campaign “Back Home Adventure” with New Media Group (NMG) in April, inviting Aussie-Hongkonger Gregory Rivers(河國榮)to do a  series of Social Media Promotion to introduce his real home state – Queensland.

New Media Group was responsible for idea development, creative and content generation, as well as the video production of the campaign, which consisted two viral MVs, several articles and Facebook feeds. The MVs successfully reached over 2 million netizens and gained over 300,000 unique video views, stimulating active responses in New Media Group Facebook Network, and allowed viewers to have a brand new impression of Queensland.

A ”leaked video” was also designed to make noise, showing two local bartenders holding a Hong Kong style political banner to great him when Gregory arrived in his hometown Gympie. Hidden cams with a fully recorded version of Gregory getting caught offguard shouting “WHAT THE HELL! New Media Group! Media cheats me again” was captured. NMG, TEQ, Tourism Australia as well as Gregory’s Facebook all recorded very high engagement rates during the campaign period.

Record High! Over 1.3million Hongkongers watched Supper Moment LIVE on Facebook!

Doing live video on Facebook is one of the hottest trends in the digital world. While everyone is still using mobile device, New Media Group has already taken the first step and successfully integrated TV production standard, allowing simultaneous subtitles key in, graphics, and even picture in picture (PIP) features while broadcasting live on Facebook.

New Media Group and Levi’s Hong Kong launched a Music Jam campaign during Spring this year. To deliver the brand’s “We are Original message, we invited four Hong Kong top bands to throw flash-mob performance in different locations. As the highlight, a group of street performers was captured on video singing Supper Moment’s songs outside Star Ferry’s Tsim Sha Tsui terminal when Supper Moment suddenly appeared and busked with them. The pre-arranged live video attracted over 1.3 million views of Facebook, generating over 38,000 likes and 8,000 shares, as well as over 3,000 comments in Supper Moment’s Facebook and New Media Group Facebook Network in total. Facebook Polling: Tomato Macaroni Soup has become Hongkongers’ Favourite Breakfast Food

Tomato Macaroni Soup has became Hongkongers’ favourite breakfast food, according to a polling on Weekend Weekly Jetso Facebook page. In fact, that was just a part of the Unilever Food Solutions’ re-branding campaign conducted by New Media Group.

The Campaign focused on the local “Cha Chaan Teng” (Hong Kong style café茶餐廳) culture, to promote two of Unilever Food Solutions’ all time favourite brands – Lipton and Knorr, which are already widely used in Cha Chaan Tengs. We invited famous local actor Pal Sinn Lap-Man(單立文)to star as the main character in a series of Facebook videos promoting Cha Chaan Teng culture and telling stories on how to make good milk-tea as well as good breakfast food through playful dialogues.

We also made use of the new Facebook interactive function at the time to launch a polling post which allowed readers to choose favourite breakfast food by voting with different Facebook reactions, successfully engaging over 5,000 polls within one night. It also brought up a polling wave across Hong Kong’s Social Media Market.

Community Identity becomes Real Estate’s Latest Marketing Trend

Midland Realty aims at re-creating a fresher brand image and stronger presence among the younger age group by maximizing awareness of the brand on its Social Media platform. In a series of videos titled “Walk into the Community” (佢同佢落區), New Media Group has arranged KOLs, like Helen To Yu-Fung(杜如風), to visit different communities to explore and try out the latest dining places, shopping spots as well as other attractions in the neighbourhood. These videos also tactfully inserted some of the recommended units available in the area. Client’s official Facebook page has accumulated over 1.65M video views and over 15,000 shares.

Joint Platforms Simultaneous Facebook Live Broadcast on Sammi’s beauty treatment experience

New Monday, Weekend Weekly, More and Oriental Sunday jointly launched this first Facebook Simulcast live in Hong Kong, live streaming Sammi Cheng Sau-Man(鄭秀文)and Kitty Yuen Siu-Yee(阮小儀)doing chit chat, answering netizens questions and snap checking Reenex’s Beauty Center for celebrity customers. In the video, Helen To Yu-Fung(杜如風)and Cheuk Wan-Chi(卓韻芝)were also “caught on the spot” enjoying different Reenex signature treatments at the Center. This video alone helped gain over 800K instant unique viewers for the client’s promotion campaign.
